The Critical Peace Network organized the „Amed Peace Workshop“ with 50 civil society organizations in Diyarbak\u0131r<\/strong><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Critical Peace Network, whose secretariat is Off University, organized the Amed Peace Workshop to foster civil society discussions on the current Kurdish peace process. Held at the Diyarbak\u0131r Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the workshop was attended by approximately 50 civil society organizations. The opening speech, featuring representatives of civil society from diverse sectors, was open to the press, while the subsequent discussion sessions were conducted in closed session. The workshop assessed the current peace process, discussed the memory of the Kurdish issue in the presence of civil society, and developed policy recommendations to be presented to the National Solidarity, Fellowship and Democracy Commission (Milli Dayan\u0131\u015fma, Karde\u015flik ve Demokrasi Komisyonu) established in parliament. <\/p>\n\n<\/div>

Representatives of civil society organisations participating in the workshop emphasised the need for such inclusive efforts and agreed that subcommittees should be established in parliament for peacebuilding and that civil society should have a permanent place in those committees. The workshop’s final statement will be shared with the public in the coming days, while the detailed report will be shared with the National Solidarity, Fellowship and Democracy Commission as a roadmap proposal from Amed civil society. <\/p>\n\n<\/div>
