The Critical Peace Network in 2025

It’s been a year since the foundation of the Critical Peace Network on January 11-12th, 2025. We are looking back on a year full of activities to strengthen solidarity and collaboration between civil society organizations working for social peace.

The network’s 15 founding organizations:

  • drew up a joint call for peace, justice and democracy
  • met twice in person with each and other organisations to discuss civil society’s role in peacebuilding. These meetings have seen great interest not only among civil society with the participation of 40 organisations in Amed and 28 in İstanbul, but also by many media outlets
  • published three podcasts
  • organized two webinars
  • has started to build an information network on its activities with three e-bulletins this year
  • contributed to the ongoing peace process in the country by a public “call for democracy peace and justice”.

The network’s website is in the making, including a digital library of the work of its members and other civil society organizations in Turkey.
