Once We Were Trees, Now We Are Birds

Since 2021, Off University has been hosting artists and cultural managers-at-risk through a fellowship by the Martin-Roth Initiative (MRI). This year, MRI put together a group exhibition with the fellows. Once We Were Trees, Now We Are Birds was opened on February 20th at ifa Gallery Berlin.

Our two MRI fellows, Veli Başyiğit and Semih Togay joined the exhibition as well with their creations. Each fellow designed a poster to reach social violence, political suppression, and restrictions on freedom of speech and human rights from their positions and perspectives. You can visit the exhibition until June 8th and pick a poster to take away after your visit.
